Looking at our families we have a record of diversity about communication. Every family have their own code of dialog. Some families are very strong, genuine and open to have good communications that encourage healthy relationship, some others are very superficial, others get very defensive when its time to address, admit or receive any criticism. Many families don't even practice any kind of dialog between then, until somebody die, while others manage to have a lot of dialog & fun but not really strong communication. The question is how can we manage assertively so many kind of communication conflicts in our own family life without loosing it?

Starting by being aware of how difficult or accessible you get with every other member in your family, give you a sense of responsability too. So, take it as a privilege, be the first one, and start now. Just think about how easy it is to have a good conversation with each one of your family members. See the differences between your communication with one person and the other. See if you can do the exercise of listing the subjects where you agree and the subjects where you disagree.
